Second, this work further explores the impact of corporate governance mechanisms on performance using quantile regression so as to compare and to shed light on whether there is heterogeneity in the influence of these variables on the performance of listed companies across quantiles. First, this study aims to investigate the relationship between corporate governance and performance using OLS. Therefore, the objective of the study is twofold. This would enable us to generate various estimated coefficient at certain quantile of dependent variable. Therefore, quantile regression estimates the relationship at any point conditional on the distribution of dependent variable. Thus, estimating the means using OLS may not reflect and represent the heterogeneity in the estimated relationship. A variable having a positive impact based on the central tendency for firms may not be the case for the firms in the upper or lower bounds. This method is based on the central tendency, which may not appropriately represent the reality in cases where the dependent variable ranges between upper and lower values and hence the relationship may not be homogenous across different percentiles of the dependent variables. However, most of literatures adopt the Ordinary Least Square (OLS). “I really want my mother’s songs to be sung so that our youth get to know them,” she further said adding that she is happy that this has happened and absolutely supports this venture.Prior literature on corporate governance and performance provides mixed evidence on the impact of various corporate governance measures on performance indicators. Nazia Ejaz said “I am very happy that Coke Studio did this and took on the iconic Luddi Hai Jamalo.

Youngest daughter of Noor Jehan, Nazia Ejaz talked about the remake of her mother’s track and reacted on the reformation of “Luddi Hai Jamalo”. The iconic track still holds the charm to mesmerize the listener. The classical song has recreated by combining Punjabi folk with a disco sensibility.īacking vocals, dholak beats with a twist of disco and the entire arrangement of melody are beautifully crafted. It’s the remake of traditional “Luddi Hai Jamalo” which was originally sung by legendary Noor Jehan, and now has been replicated by iconic duo of Ali Sethi and Humaria Arshad.

Featuring Ali Sethi and Humaira Arshad, Coke Studio 11 Song “Luddi Hai Jamalo” has been released in Episode 8.
